Ft Lauderdale Sun Calendar 2013

To celebrate another beautiful year I have created this 2013 calendar of images from this glorious beach of ours.

Followers to my twitter account will tell you, I’m up every morning to catch the morning sun – using iPhone – and share the best directly from the shore.

Some of the images in the calendar are available as signed, limited art prints, so please get in touch if you would like to own one.

Do take time to view the previews of the calendar and take in the atmosphere.

Sunny Side Up!

This is to celebrate the early birds. Those of you who just can’t wait around and need to hit the beach before the crowds.

I’m never at the beach when the sands are busy with sun-worshippers and beach fun, but once in a while the fun turns up early and I’m there to capture the feeling.

Some of the images in the book are available as signed, limited art prints, so please get in touch if you would like to own one.

The Darkness at the Beach

This book is all about the shadows and the artful way that the sun plays on our beautiful beach.

My fascination with shoreline silhouettes and shadows, of light and shade, colors and saturations all come into focus in this collection. Some of the images in the book are available as signed, limited art prints, so please get in touch if you would like to own one.

First Wave Exhibition Catalog

This book was published as a catalog for my 2012 Exhibition ‘First Wave’  in Fort Lauderdale

The show was held at the Art4Vision Foundation Gallery on Las Olas Boulevard and was a wonderful success, bringing together all of the people who have supported my project over the last three years. So great to meet people who have only been in touch via social media.

The prints looked fantastic and I’d love you to own one (and are available to buy!) but if the limited edition prints are too expensive, treat yourself to the book.

In The Light of my Presence

This book is very special, and is my first collaboration with a Twitter follower.

Sandra is a deeply spiritual and inspirational person and it made perfect sense to work together on a book that is designed to inspire and lift the heart.

There were so many coincidences associated with this project – I’ve done design work for her son for many years – so it was written in the heavens that this book should come to pass.

So if you have a need to feel closer to God, here is a book that brings together the wonders of nature with a divine spirit.

Do take time to view the previews of the book, as it showcases some of my most uplifting images of our beach.

The Other Side of Sunrise

This book was originally published to complement a series of talks that I gave at the Museum of Discovery and Science here in Fort Lauderdale.

One thing about photographing the beach every day is that I get to see all kinds of amazing marine creatures and over time I’ve learned a little more about them. This is my celebration of the natural side of our beach.

The books come in two formats.

A hard back Beach Edition prepared with advice from my friends at the Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau and a paperback edition with an extrended set of pictures of our most unusual visitor, the Portuguese Man o’War.

Do take time to view the previews of the books. I hope that you’ll feel as fascinated by Fort Lauderdale’s beach nature as I do.

In Praise of Big E

This is my photo tribute to a beach regular he calls Big E, a great white egret (or perhaps a white morph blue heron, you decide…) who patrols the beach every autumn looking for breakfast.

He’s been back on the sands of North Beach for three consecutive falls, and has been unquestionably a highlight of the Ft Lauderdale Sun project.

Indeed he has loyal fans all over the globe who know of him through my Twitter account.

The books come in two formats. A large format Coffee Table edition and a smaller, paperback.
