Photoblog : The return of the egret on a July morning. July 8th.

Today marked the return of an old friend. After six months of migration to southern fishing grounds Big E, a great white egret with an eye for a bait bucket, is back patrolling Ft Lauderdale Beach. A bird full of character and guile I’m so pleased to see him around again, showing us how to fish.

One good tern…

Wading out and fishing hard.

Reflections of the rod and reel.

Seagull on high.

A glint of sunshine early morning..

Dawn light by the trees.

Tall tree and silvery skies.

Light by the dunes.

Big E in full flow.

A glimse of an egret’s intent.

Dawn’s glow by the palms.
